I have a tappan electric stove and the light and clock wor but the top burners and the oven won,t heat up

Hi Mr. Daniels

The first thing I would check is the circuit breaker. It suppose to be a double breaker for the range and if only one breaker is on then the clock and the light will work (they need just a 120V) but no one heating elements won't because they need a 240V.

thanks gene your diagnoses was right on the money it was the circuit breaker no w the stove is getting hot you are great
