i have an oven that the broil does not work what can cause this

I cannot find JKP15B0W2BB. The foll0wing is for JKP15BW2BB Replacement parts for General Electric JKP15BW2BB Electric range | AppliancePartsPros.comThe most common cause is a burned out element. Unplug the unit. This is very important because on many units there is still power to one side of the element even with the element turned off. Remove the screw/s that hold the element to the back of the oven. Gently pull the element into the oven. Undo the wires or at least one wire to the element and check it with a meter. Should be about 20 ohms. It is a good idea to clip something (clothespin etc.) to the wires so that they do not disappear into the back of the oven. |
