I have a Maytag Gemini double oven of unknown age or model. I don't see a model number anywhere on the front or inside the doors. It is a double oven with stove above and it is an electric model. It is at least 7 years old as it was in the house when we moved in 7 years ago.

It has been working fine until today when the element light for the 2 right-side burners decided it does not want to turn off. There is only one red light for the two burners (on each side). Both burners have been checked for function and they both turn on and off as they should, but the light remains lit. The light is not a hot element warning light - it just tells you when the power is on. Also, there is no error code on the digital display.

I do not have an owner's manual to do trouble shooting, and I don't see a model number on the oven. There may be one on the back, but at this point, I was hoping to not have to move the oven as it seems to be an extremely tight fit between the cabinets, and the floor tiling was done after the oven was installed and it appears to have been laid over the ovens feet....

Does this problem sound familiar? Can anyone provide some guidance as to what needs to be looked at, and where the model number may be on this oven?

This may help find the model number

I am assuming the light is not on the digital display but is a separate light on the controls.

Sounds like one of the infinite switches has a problem.

Usually the switches will have a L1 to P set of contacts that run the light.
Could be this is shorted/welded shut so the light is always on.
