I have a 15 year old Magic Chef gas oven/range. The oven hasn't worked in over a year but the broiler and stove burners work fine. There is a constant fan like noise emanating from the oven. I took out the bottom drawer and can see that the noise is coming from the part that the gas line is connected to. It looks like a valve or regulator. Is this something I need to be concerned about? There's no gas smell.

Attached is a photo of the stove and the part that's making the noise.

Thanks

Does it make the noise when your using the gas, or is it all the time even when it's off?

The noise is all the time even when off.

on that regulator you took the pic of, there is a little lever, move that to the down position and see if the noise stops.

Is that definitely a lever? I can't move it.

Yep, that is the gas shut off for the oven.

Sorry, you're right. I flipped it down but the noise continues.

That is kinda strange, usually a bad regulator will make noise when using gas, and will make that noise if it's leaking gas, but you said you can't smell any gas. The regulator should be replaced, you don't want a gas leak. The other thing you can do to definatly verify that is the noise, is to pull the oven out from the wall and shut of the gas valve at the wall, if the noise persists, then it is something else.

I turned off the gas valve and noise continued. It does seem like it's regulator that's making the noise but I guess it's not the gas. The only way to stop the noise is to unplug the AC.
