Please advise as to check-out procedure, whether this can be oven sensor or electronic control at the panel; also, correct procedure to access control board. Have removed 4 screws on from bottom of control panel; but cannot access control panel. Please advise ASAP. Thanks, any history problems with this range (oven sensor) would be appreciated. Would like to know if these parts are available, in stock, etc. Second request for this information. Thank You
Bgarret,
Sorry for the delay in a response.
Before we go too far, there are several things you need to be aware of,
Modern electronic control pre heat cycle are designed to beep in ten minutes, or the first time the temperature sensor, "sees" or reaches the set temperature.
This produces a "temperred" oven temperature, not a Pre heated temperature.
It still requires at least 15 to 20 minutes to properly pre heat the oven cavity.
You may want to let the oven cycle for 30 to 40 minutes, then check the oven temperature, if it's within 25 dgrs of the setting, you're control is in range or working to factory specification,
You can fine tune it from there(the user's manual has the procedure).
If you're temperature is more than 50 degrees high or low, you'll need to replace the oven control board.
Your oven temperature sensor should have a resistance reading of 1050 to 1100 ohms resistance at room temp, and 1300 to 1350 ohms at 210 degrees, and 1650 ohms at 350 degrees.
I've attached the control panel and control board access procedure from the service manual, as you requested, should you decide or need to go further,
Remove power to the range,
Partially remove the range from the cabinet openning(approximately 6 inches).
How to access the control panel
•
Remove the screw on each side.
•
Remove the two screws under
the console.
•
Remove the screw on both side
of the console.
•
To be able to flip over the
control panel, remove the screws
on both brackets located under
the control panel, at the front.
•
panel can now be
flipped to allow reach of the
electronic components.
• To remove the UIB (user
interface board) just pull on the
plastic tab.
• The EOC (electronic oven
controller) is located in the
center, as for the UIB (user
interface board) it is located on
the right.
Good Luck,
:) :) :)
