Model Number: ART6121E Brand: Amana Age: 5 - 10 years
when we preheat our oven it takes a long time, and then it cooks really slow and sometimes not at all. the broil works fine but it appears the bottom element kicks off and on very often?

Here is the parts breakdown
Model Search Not sure why it shows 2 temperature sensors with different numbers. Here is the tech sheet for this unit http://www.servicematters.com/maytag.../T232_27R1.pdf Check the bake element for a bright spot along its length or a poor connection. Though normally they just blow open. Check the temperature sensor Next would be a bad high limit - though I doubt it is bad as it also effects the broil element. After that all that is left is the control board.
