I have a gas cooktop with what look like undamaged wires running from junction box to individual ignitors. When I try to ignite a burner the wires will arc to ground at other locations. I cleaned the cooktop which appears to have had some sugary solution dribble into the pan. It appears that the wires may have been saturated sometime ago but they are dry now and clean. Is it possible that sugar is actually a conductor and has ruined my wires. Where can I find a wiring harness to replace this if damaged?
