My Whirlpool GS773LX Gas Range shuts off when using the oven, mostly at temps over 350 degrees. You can hear the gas valve open and it attempts to ignite then POOF shuts down and the control panel goes blank. Then the control panel will display "PUSH off" and after pushing OFF it comes back on usually with an incorrect time (not the default 12:00) and I can restart the oven. This pattern is becoming more frequent and I can see a total failure in the near future.
About a year ago, I had a service call for the same issue and I think they replaced the control panel but I'd like to save $300-$400 and do it myself if this is the problem.
Seems like the control panel is a common items for frequent replacement (based on the threads in this forum).
