I have a Amana cooktop AKT3650E that I have had for 3 years and just installed. I was told it was a new return but could not sell as new because it did not have a box. The Dual element is not coming on in any position. I got the spec sheet for and testing determined it was the switch. Element and sensor measurement appear in range. With 240 volts across the L1 and L2 terminals, I'm supposed to have 240v across H1 and H2 terminals but both old and new switch just have a milli-volt reading regardless of the switch selection. The only difference between old and new switch is with the new switch the power indicator light scome on with the new switch.
Could I have two bad dual infinite switches? Or Could the element or sensor be shorting out switch even when they test good?

Well. no instructions about separation of the red wire in my switch package. The only instructions on my package showed a original switch numbering and what they were on the new switch. Although my new switch looked identical to the original switch numbering schemea. I will check this out and let you know. Thanks!
