I have a Stainless Kitchenaid Stove/Oven and the touchpad works fine other than the OFF button which no longer works. I see the touchpad part listed and it appears that it screws in with 4 screws from the back. Do I dare order that part and replace it myself? Anyone done that and it is pretty straight forward? Any advice?

Missed my warranty by one month so that really stinks and I am trying to do this myself if I can to save some money.

I called to find out the cost to have this done by a repair place in my town and it was around $320!! I see the part for around $150ish and wonder if this is something I could take on on my own or if anyone would warn me against it. I am a pretty handy guy but haven't had the occasion to do much appliance repair.

Anyone have any comments on whether I take this challenge on or not?

Oh well. Nobody answered me but I went ahead and ordered the part and was able to get it installed and it worked!! Service call and expense avoided.
