My GE gas range is not keeping temperature at the set bake temp. The problem is sporatic and I suspect the temperature probe is problem. Is there a way to test the probe to see if it is bad before I buy a new one?

You can check the oven temperature sensor by measuring the resistance between the oven sensor wires. It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature. If there is nothing wrong then the control board (ERC) has to be replaced. - The part number for the ERC is AP3778817 Gene.

Do you think the probe is bad?

No, I do not think the sensor is bad. Can you be more specific on the problem?
Gene.
