I have a Thermador cooktop. It has two 6" burners and two 8" burners. The 6" burners work properly. I ma having issues with the 8" burners in that they are either on or off. No matter what I set the burner setting to, it always is on HIGH. I am wondering, if I replace the 8" burner elements, will that fix this issue or is there something else causing this to happen?

Also, I don't know how to remove the burner element from the cooktop. It has four mounts with two catches or lips, one on the bottom and one on the top of each mount. I have replaced burner elements in GE stoves but they just pull out and plug in very easy. This cooktop is not the same.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
