After the self cleaning cycle neither element will heat. When you turn oven off the fan and lights come on, but no heat. The panel does not show a default code.

I could not find any info on the given model number at AppliancePartsPros or Whirlpool. Please check it. If this is not a USA unit I probrbly will not be able to find any info on it.
Is it a stove or just an oven. If a stove do the top elements work OK. The reason I ask is to eliminate a power problem.
If just an oven flip your breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing then it would be best to check that the unit is getting 240 volts to drive the elements.
Many units have a thermal limiter attached to the back (sometimes to the top) of the oven. Perhaps this has blown. It is a fairly common fault. Especially if using long self-clean cycles. |
