found out my Kenmore electric range needs a new clock because the oven isn't working (but the cooktop is). I ordered the part, any idea how to replace it? Do I take this front panel apart? Then what?

I can't pull up the model number you posted, but there should be a panel on the back that you can remove to access the control for the oven.

it's a glass top so the clock and controls are on the front of the stove next to the knobs to turn to stove on

Can you post the entire model number, it should be 11 numbers long.

Thank you. does this new clock plug right in then or is there more to it then that?

It pretty much just plugs in, just be careful not to bend any of the little connectors.
