the dual burner, whether using the inner spot or the whole, will start to work, but some minutes or less later will turn off, or stop working. Since the time this phenomena started, the "hot" indicator light for that burner has always stayed on.
Please advise with your opinion.

Sounds like the problem is a bad infinite switch for this burner.

I ordered, received, and tried the part you recommended, but the burner still behaves the same; what step or part should I try next? Perhaps the burner/limiter switch combination, or the limiter alone?
