This morning, I was heating maple syrup in a small pan and it boiled over. I waited for the stove to cool and attempted to scrape off the burned syrup with a razor blade followed by an approved cleaner (Cerama Bryte) and a special purpose cleaning pad made for this purpose. When done, I found pitting in the surface. Is there any way to polish out the pitting?

Thanks in advance.
