Everything else works BUT the oven?
Model Number: RGB745BEA3AD Brand: Hotpoint Age: 5 - 10 years
I'm not sure of the age of my Hotpoint gas range, it was here when I moved in 3yrs ago and wasn't new then.
It appears from reading the other posts that this seems to be a common issue with other models and brands, so I'm not sure if the diagnosis and/or repair is specific to the brand and model number. Anyway, my oven won't heat up. The top burners work, the broiler works, even the self cleaning element works. It's only the oven that won heat up, even though the red "oven on" light indicator comes on. I do not smell or hear the gas. I'd planned to remodel my entire kitchen next summer so I can't afford (nor do I want) a new stove right now. Hopefully, there's a way to repair this. Thanks in advance.
