Question Electronic oven control
Model Number: ACS3350AS   Brand: Amana   Age: 5 - 10 years

When oven has been baking for some time, I am unable to change temperature. Then the digital dispaly goes black - and, after a long cool down time, the clock will begin to flash, and I can reset the clock, and restart the oven. Recently while cooking a turkey, oven shut down completely (it was off for 34 minutes) and I was able to reset it at 325F. However, while watching it, it shut down again, and I restarted it. I note it could be cutouts, not necessarily the digital control itself(which is no longer available, but I can get it rebuilt for $135.00) - but wonder if that is the problem. Have reviewed similar postings, and note that my blower fan is note heard when in the broil mode. Is that the cause of all this?

Most likely the problem is a bad control board. If it can be rebuild for $135 with a reasonable warranty - I would do it.
