Oven Repair (including Ranges and Cooktops)

Just recently my oven door has decided to stay open. It's only about 1/2 inch or so but when I bake I am losing heat plus the light stays on all the time. I checked to see if something was keeping it from closing and cleaned all around the opening but there was not anything.

Can someone please guide me??

Try removing the door then reinstalling it.

Your operators manual should give the procedure.

You will need a model number.
The model numbers are usually 3 digits, a dot then another 6 or 7 digits.
There is a site ManageMyLife.com, they have a lot of Kenmore manuals.
Also could try the Sears site.
