I have a Maytag stove model number MGS5870ADC It was making a knocking noise for awhile off and on and I thought nothing of it. Now it made a knocking noise and showed F9 as the code. When I press any button on the panel it just says OFF. Someone told me it was either the door latch assembly or control panel. They said to bypass the door latch assembly and if it took care of the problem then change that. If not its the panel. Do you know how to bypass the door latch assembly so I know which part to order?
