Ge Oven "locked Door" Flashing
Model Number: JTP85 Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
We have a GE double oven (JTP85). The self-cleaning feature was activated and canceled. Now the oven door latch is in locked postion although the door is able to be opened (latch barely catches). The "LOCKED DOOR" warning is flashing and the oven won't work now. I've tried resetting the breaker with no luck. The door switch seems to be operating properly - the oven light comes on and off when the door is opened. A faint whiring/buzzing sound comes from the latch area when the door is closed. I assume the door latch assembly needs to be replaced?
