Model Number: 30-2042-23 Brand: Tappan Age: More than 10 years

The oven light (bulb) is on even though I have removed the top panal lite switch and taped the wires apart. I cannot find a second (parallel) switch in the door mechanism. So what gives? If there are two switches, where's the second one located? If only one switch how is this oven light wired?
It's a 20 year old Tappen range that the owner wants fixed.
