I am a handyman for a large outfit which covers over 200 apartments which will make it over a 1,000 Kitchen Aid applainces including ranges, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers,washing machines and dryers. I have got a problem with my Ranges. After resident uses self cleaning feature, the oven does not heat properly and/or light does not turn off. I have got this problem with eight(8) ranges. So far, i have replaced the door latch on four(4) units. I think rather than replacing part, this door latch, (part# 9760888 door latch) could just be reseted; I just don't know how. I have four more to do, before I order these parts can someone advice me on what to do because I am pretty sure more are going to have this problem. This building is less than three(3) years old.
