Model Number: SVD48600W Brand: Jenn-Air Age: More than 10 years
I have a dual fuel J-A stove, it came with the indoor grill option on the left hand side and was wondering if it's possible to jumper out/disable the fan when the left side is being used. I've since replaced the grill with stove top burners like the right side. It really zaps the heat being applied to whatever is being cooked...thanks, great site, glad to be here!

It should have a schematic on the tech sheet (inside the control console, or in an envelope attached to the back). You can see which fan wire to disconnect from the switch you want to disable on the wiring chart.

On our SVD486000 dual fuel stove there are white switches mounted on the front of the gas valves. Just figure out which wires actuate the fan (verses the ignitor) and disconnect them. You will have to remove the top and front panels to get at the controls. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.. lol.
