Ge monogram dual fuel range originally had a problem with a slight gas leak which desroyed the 5 function switch for the main 27" oven. Also cooked the ends on a few of the wires. This was a few years ago and everything was fine until now. Now when the oven is on it will heat fine for hours, however if you turn the oven from bake to convection/bake or if you open the oven door while it is in operation it will stop heating (within 5-10 minutes)....oven heat light turns off....The oven will then cool down until it reaches around 200 degrees then it will start to heat again! I checked the High temp cutout under the oven and it does not appear to be tripped. I also checked for power on both sides of it and checked continuity and it appears ok. I believe I checked the correct relay on the control board plus checked the thermostat both before and after the problem for power on the different pins...I dont see any malfunctions or changes before or after the problem...Is there anything else I should be checking, could the HTC switch be malfunctioning but not testing that way, themostat has some type of internal problem?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am pulling my hair out. Also the parts for this are very expensive so I dont want to start guessing and purchasing unnecessary parts.
