The front broiler element support has broken and so the broiler element is hanging down which will get in the way of my thanksgiving turkey. Apparently the replacement parts are no longer made. Two questions -

A) can I remove the broiler element
B) If so, will that negate the self clean functionality?

Thanks!!

I would recommend having someone make a bracket for you or get one out of another range (GE used the same bracket)

I only ca find that GE used the same part I can't pull up a list of model numbers for GE. But I would say about the same age models. About any machine shop could make you one though.
