I have a jenn-air JJW9527DDS in wall oven. It's mounted on an island in my kitchen and the control panel extends beyond the counter by about an inch. As such it tends to get debris and sometimes fluids on top of the panel. Some time last year the control panel readout gave the error "Feature not available" and flashed the error code 1c1c. I believe this refers to a shorted switch. I know the service technician that came out opened up the control panel and cleaned contacts.
This morning the same error came up. I shut off power and brought it back but that didn't change things. So I shut off power and now I would like to open up the control panel and clean contacts, inspect, etc... But... I'm at a loss as to how to open the thing up.
I removed the control panel trim (Part#3608F106-70). But the Glass Control Panel (7912P359-60) does not want to come apart from the Control Assembly Frame (3807W663-70).
I wasn't home when the tech opened up the panel last time but from what my wife says I think he had the Glass Control Panel separated from the Control Assembly Frame. It is the gap between those two that causes the problem, and this is where I imagine I need to look.
Can anyone help me out with this one? I don't see any reference to this particular oven in the forum, and internet searches all afternoon have not yielded anything helpful. I can find the parts for sale, but not how to install them. I would prefer not to have to remove the oven from the island... is there a way to do the following w/o pulling the thing from it the cabinetry?
According to:
Jenn-air Range Fault Codes, I need to:
Check wire harness connector and ensure proper connection and wires show continuity. If ok, replace control.
