I have Tappan wall mount gas range that doens't light. How do I by pass the Thermostat Part # 722T038P06 to check it if it works or not?

This thermostat is no longer made. What would be the replavcement part if I need to repalce it?

The oven has igniter (TAPPAN # 316T023P05; ROBERTSHAW 41-202), that send a 3 Volt signal to Safety Gas Valve (TAPPAN # 774T119P01; ROBERTSHAW # Y-30126-AF1). I will be replacing the igniter since it really doesn't look white when glows. It is kind of orange in color.

Once I repalce the igniter, and even if it doesn't light, I need to know how to diagnose the thermostat. Thanks for the help...
