Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 10/23/2008(UTC) Posts: 5		Broiler igniter comes on and burns bright. Gas enters the broiler element, ignites, but is very low, like valve has not completely opened. Oven element is working fine.

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 10/23/2008(UTC) Posts: 5		Gene I guess I am confused. The igniter is glowing bright and the gas is igniting, but is like barely on. Would a weak igniter cause this? Model is Maytag CRG9700BALL it is set to work with propane. Thanks!

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 10/23/2008(UTC) Posts: 5		Well I replaced the igniter and the problem is still the same, broiler lights, but stays on a very low setting, like ti valve has not opened all of the way. What do I check next?

Assemble it back and adjust the flame by slowly turning the orifice. If it would not help then replace the gas valve. - The part number for the gas valve is AP4098213 Gene.
