I solved one problem only to create another. I thought my oven door latch was broken. I popped off the contol assembly to access the latch. I discovered that the latch was unseated so I reseated it and everything is great. As soon as I reattached the control assembly I get an F2E1 error code(keypad keytail not connected). I'm hoping it was dislodged when I took off the assembly but where in the world is this connection?

Here's a diagram that should help you see where the connection is.

Magician59...thanks for the reply. According to the tech sheet i should first check that the keypad connector is firmly connected. The diagram you provided doesn't show exactly where that connection is. When i press cancel I don't get a response. I can't even turn on the bottom or top oven now. My wife is pissed.

Once you have the console open, it should be fairly obvious where the connection is. If the ribbon is completely disconnected, the connector on the board is as long as the ribbon is wide; and just wide enough to accept it. There may be some kind of sliding "lock" that ensures a secure connection on the connector.

It looks like the ribbon has a crack or crease so I assume it got damaged when i popped off the control panel. So the question is do I just need to order the control panel assembly and/or do I also need the oven control board. Both are expensive so if i need both it almost makes more sense to buy a new oven. Thanks

You'll need to replace the touchpad assembly. The control board is probably undamaged
