Hi there,

The burner gasket (part no. 74002745) of my Magic Chef gas range was broken. I called Maytag and several part stores they all said the part was discontinued. I am really appropriated if someone can let me know where I can order it?

Roger,

That burner gasket was discontinued 2 or 3 years after it was produced(approximately 1998) Sales and engineering determined they were unnecessary, and created more dis satisfaction than necessary.

We used to remove them all, for aesthetics.

In extreme circumstances ,

We could run a small bead of Hi Temp silicone sealant on the flat part of the bottom of the burner, as a customer satisfaction option.

I seriously doubt you will be able to find them, anywhere.

Yes,

You can use the burners and range without the burner gaskets,

As I said previously, we(service techs) used to remove them all when one broke or melted, to make everything look the same.
