The gas valve for the oven does not seem to open. The pilot is on and when the oven is turned on the first stage ignites but it doesn't go to "high Fire" Any guess on the the problem?

Does it have a pilot or igniter

What i understand by what your saying is that the first ignition is the pilot doubling its size.. If thats all it does and wont light sounds like a thermocoupling.
