I have a Hotpoint Stove Model RGB745WEA8WW it is 6 yrs old
preheat lite doesn't go off
It takes an incredibly long time to bake something. For example a pizza could take up to 1 hour. The oven doesn't get very hot but does reach about 100 degrees. Sometimes I here the gas cycling on and off

Found this part on your website. looking at the Control T08-2k - NOTE: As per the manufacture. If you have never replaced this clock/control you must also replace the knob. The origonal knob will not fit. For black knob use AP3668511. For white knob use AP3668509 Part Number: AP3792697 made by GE does this part regulate the temperature on the stove and does it cause the gas to cycle on and off?

Hi Russ, Sorry for the delay. Most likely the problem is a bad oven igniter (#218 on the diagram). If there is 120 VAC to the igniter while the control calls for Bake, then the igniter is the culprit. No doubt about it. - The oven igniter Part number: AP2020569

Thanks Gene
I really appreciate your time and consideration
WRT to the ignitor. I do get a flame and the oven pre heats only.
how does the ignitor work say compaired to or in conjunction with the thermostat unit found with the digital clock?
