i just received a part # WB27T10277, oven control board, and the plug in connectors are different from the older board which i am replacing I am not sure what to do with the extra wires that do not have slots on the new board.

Gzone, Could you please varify the part number on your original control, Based on the information you supplied you orderred and recieved the correct part WB27T10277 (control, door lock motor and instruction sheet). Being an older unit there are several parts that have been "substituted" and I need to varify the part number of the original part, and varify the replacement part you recieved.
