Hi,

I have a Maytag glas top cooking range and planning to replace one of the burned heating coils.

Can anyone advise me on how to open this glass top unit to replace the coil? There is no screws or any such devices seen externally.......

Robin.

Thanks for your reply with the part No.

But I am unable to open the unit, since it is glass surfaced, where do in find the screws to take out the glass top?

The installation manual does not say anything about opening the glass surface.

Take a look at Page 19.

Once the door is open there should be a couple screws holding the top.
