Does anyone know where I can get an electrical schematic for a thermodor smw272 oven?

John,

Usually the oven wiring diagram and schematic is foldout, inside the back cover. Here is the microwave schematic/wiring diagram.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for THERMADOR SMW272YB AFTER S/N 8204 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Gene, thanks for the heads up about the electrical schematic. With it, I was able to isolate the problem to the K8 relay on the Relay board. Now all I have to do is rip the entire stove apart to get to it... Should be fun. John

OK - the relay board is bad and nobody makes a replacement. Any suggestions?

John,

If you know exactly which of relays is bad, you can try to replace this particular relay.

Gene,

While I can read a schematic, I have no idea where to order such a part, and then remove and resolder a new relay properly is beyond my skill & equipment level.

However, my thought was to simply replace all the control "guts", touch pad, display and control board with another brand. Preferrably w/ a company that supports its equipment. I was thinking Dacor. After all, an element is an element is an element.....

Lastly, if anyone from thermador is listening, I'll never recommend them, ever. Not supporting your 9 year old equipment is simply abandonment.

Thanks for all your advise & support though this. You are the tops.:) J

John,

Before you spend big $$$ you may want to give a try this company.

I agree with you about Thermador, but do you know Dacor prices?

Gene,

Thanks for the heads up on the company. My only concern is if I send the board in and have one relay replaced, how long until the others go Kaput. That board is almost 10 years old. It is certainly an option and the ovens owner and I will be discussing it.

I am also aware that dacor is mighty proud of all their parts & appliances. I'm going to look into GE or Maytag. Really any reputible company that has a convection/bake/broil oven set up should work.

I'll keep you posted. J
