I have a Kenmore flat top range/oven model 790.94339702 just past the warranty. A couple weeks ago, the electronic unit started acting strange (flickering, etc.). Well it finally went black and we had no control of the oven.

I ordered a new timer unit (electronic unit) p/n 316418208 and was substituted with p/n 316557108. I received the replacement timer and installed it. Everything seemed to look normal.

Then we put a pizza in the oven set at 400 deg. It wasn't long the bottom of the pizza was so black, it was smoking.

I followed the temp adjustment procedure for the electronic unit. Which by the way will only allow +/- 35 deg. I lowered the setting all the way.

A couple days later, we cooked some crescent rolls in the oven and it burned them too.

Any ideas as to what i do next???

Thanks,
