I set the self clean on my double oven for 2.5 hours. After the cycle had finished and cooled, I returned to wipe it out. At that time, I noticed I did not have a light on the inside and the clock on the outside was not on. Further investigation, it was completely dead -- both ovens. I checked the breakers and they were fine. I pulled the oven out and had electricity coming in to it. I then started checking all the little components and had electricity coming up to the control board. However, reading different information, I still thought the control board was bad. I replaced it and it is still completely dead. Still reading, I decided it may be the control panel so I replaced it also. It is still dead. Please help.

Frustrated, You most likely have an open Control Panel Thermal Fuse. And an open oven shut down thermostat on the back of the oven cavity. The control thermal fuse is located in the control panel area, it should look something like this Part number: AP3777386
And , as I said , the element thermal fusse is on the back wall of the oven and looks something like this Part number: AP3133249
Good Luck, :) :) :)

Joe - thanks for your reply. It is definitely the control panel thermal fuse but I cannot find one listed for my model RBD305PDB12. The one you provided the picture of is not for this one and their is another I found but it only has RBD305 PDB1-8 and not specifically the PDB12. Will the one for the PDB1, 2, 3, ... 8 work on the PDB12? Thanks again.

Look familiar ... This was an unpublished number in the parts screens when the unit(s) were produced, and came out as a Technical Bulletin for servicers. The production number (-1,-8, -12) or brand name makes no difference, only the terminal connections are different, but both fuses are rated the same, and used in the whole production of both product versions. So, Yes this fuse will work in your unit. :o :o :o

I just received the thermal fuse part, the one in the control pannel area and one end of the connector is too small. I was on the phone with the parts dept last night trying to hammer out which is the correct part and I thought we got it right, but it was a no go. I have model # RBD275PD12 and I need some help in finding the right part. Any suggestions? thank you art

art Art, Unless there's been a big change, there's only two control fuses, onr for Kitchen Aid labelled products, and one for Whirlpool labelled products. Yours is a Whirlpool label product and should need: Part number: AP3110028
Good Luck, :) :) :)
