When my wife went to use oven the top element(broiler) turn on which cause what she was baking to burn. When she turn the oven off the top element would not power off. Had to throw breaker to range to power it off. Please let me know what is wrong? Thank you!

If the element is on full then odds are that the oven controller (Item 16 in Section 1) is shot ( the relay contacts for the broiler element have welded together)
