Model Number: KECC568GSS3 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 1 - 5 years
Another Ebay Nightmare! We bought a new "display model" Kitchenaid KECC568SS3 "touch Control" cooktop through a supposed appliance dealer on Ebay last April. For one reason or another didn't install the cooktop until this weekend. It is replacing an older model Kitchenaid with regular knobs. When we hooked it up, the power came on to the "Control Lock" pad. Following instructions, we held this pad for 5 seconds and the control lock went out. Each of the touch pads beeps as you pass over them, but no other leds come on and no power gets to the elements. Do you think it is a power board or the control board...or something else totally? We put the old one back in and it works fine, so I know the power is ok.
