Angry No lights displayed on controls-Maytag Gemini Electric Range
Model Number: MER6875AAN   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

After a recent power outage I noticed the control assembly lights were blank and not displaying anything as if the unit was unplugged. When I turn the knobs to the cooktop a very small "in use" light comes on and the elements heat up fine. the upper and lower ovens have to be controlled by a touch screen which wont light up.???
Can you please advise.

First place to check is the power source. Make sure half the breaker didn't trip. Go to the box and flip the breaker off then on a couple times, or, if you have a meter, check it at the outlet.

The stovetop works. The digital readout that controls the oven does not display anything so in turn I cannot operate the dual ovens. Im not sure but think it is the control switch assembly. I want to be certain before laying out $2oo.oo for parts.
