oven &broiler will not lite .glow ignitor comes on then goes off .is not opening gas. the cook top still works. Any ideas?

Even though the igniter is glowing, it can still be bad. The resistance has to be low enough for current to flow through the igniter to the gas valve, in order for the valve to open. You can check to see if there is a significant change in the current while the igniter is glowing if you have an ammeter. Just clamp the meter around one of the wires going to the igniter and watch for the change as the igniter heats up. Post your results.

:( i dont have a amp meter. But idid have a new glow ignitor so i installed it. oven still did not light! Does this mean the oven valve is bad? thank you

Not necessarily. Gas valves very rarely go bad. Here's the part listed as the correct one for your oven. Check to see if the one you installed is the same. Several things can prevent a flame. One of the most common, but least considered, causes is dirty ports in the burner. Look closely at it and if there are any clogged holes (especially nearest to the igniter), clear them with a stiff wire, or a straightened paper clip. Part number: AP4012072
