Was cooking on the stove and the pan overflowed onto the stove at which point the control board started blinking F9. I hit cancel which is did, turned the stove off. And then there was a pop. And the whole thing went off. Flipped the breaker and it came back on, still blinking F9 lock. but it wasn't locked. what might be the problem? how do you check the lock assembly?

Here is a manual http://www.servicematters.com/maytag_library/docs/16010161.pdfYou will have to check the switches with a meter. I would also check to see if you can find out what popped look for a tell tale arc mark or charring. Also check the control board for blown components. If all OK then odds are that the control board is blown. |
