UserPostedImageSaw a helpful Post from Gene re: Igniter. He references AP2150412 as the correct part for the problem (oven will not heat but igniter glowing red/orange) and recommends replacement. My question is re: the image shown (with bare wiring and no connector) and how to install / replace current igniter which has no bare wiring but instead a "male plug" that inserts into the counter part. Will this part actually have a plug or will I need to connect bare wires? And if so, how do I determine which wire goes to which, if it matters? Thanks . . .

Under a Whirlpool oven igniter installation post is reference to this part and the note that it is used by Tappan ovens as well. The connector looks like the part I currently have in place. The actual igniter appears to be a 1/4 inch longer and a bit wider. Could this be the part I am looking for instead of AP2150412??

 New wrinkle. While waiting for a technician to weigh in on my igniter part and installation questions, decided I could pull the existing part out using the helpful instructions. No problems.
However, . . . . - see the three images I uploaded. This appears to be a different part, if not entirely, in an obvious way - it is nearly 6" long. The tattered tag on the wiring includes the following - Norton 501A. I searched the parts on this site and there is such an item [AP4086421] BUT no image, and not in stock. Also, I included images of the plug I described.
 So, which part is correct for me? Will one of the others still get it done? Might the plug on AP4012072 be the same, saving me some wiring? Thanks!!
