Default need help with outer glass oven door
Model Number: RF386PXEQO   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
I think I can replace the outer glass oven door if you can just give me some help. I will remove the door and start from the other side. Does the glass rest on the outside of the trim? What else is helpful to know??
Do you have any printed instructions from a manual??
Thank you

Diane,
This is how I look at most machines. If you notice on the picture there are trim pieces on the sides and bottom, the glass must be in the "tracks" on the trim.
Hope that helps.

If you are asking me - I don't know thats why I wrote. The new Whirlpool ovens in the store - the outer glass rest on the outside of the trim which has no tracks (except the bottom of course. which the glass rest on the inside. From the picture you sent it looks like it could be either way on the sides.

my oven glass rests on the outside of the door with no side or bottom trim also. I removed the glass to clean behind it by removing the two screws at the top of the door and the two screws holding the clips on at the bottom of the door. The glass was simple to remove, clean, and replace once i removed the door from the oven. Mine is a kitchenaid and may be different to remove than yours but its worth looking to see i guess.

Whirlpool makes Kitchen Aide, so they are very similar. They are pretty easy. I recommend using a padded surface.
