If it is less than a year old then you have to call Sears because it is still under the full manufacturer warranty.

Just to let you know we are having the exact same problem. Ours happens whenever the gas output is high, either from a burner or the oven. It is one day old. The repair tech is coming out on Friday.

I have a 2005 Kenmore Model 790 that also hums when ever the top burners or the oven is on. It did not do this at first but has started in the last month. There is no gas smell. Is this dangerous?

I'm having the same issue - my Kenmore 790 Gas range makes a humming noise when I am using it to cook; seems like its a common problem yet I haven't seen any causes/solutions. Any thoughts would be really appreciated...thanks.
