GE Oven "Preheats" in a few seconds
Model Number: JBP65GS2WH Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi all,
I'm having a problem that I hope you can help me with. We have a GE oven, model JBP65GS2WH. I'm not sure how old it is (it came with our house we bought 2 years ago), so I'm guessing maybe 5-10 years old. The problem is that when I turn the oven on, the oven beeps and the Preheat light turns on after just a few seconds. It doesn't matter if the oven is set to 250 or 450, it still happens within a few seconds. As a result, the oven never heats up. The range elements work fine, and I'm not getting any error codes. If it helps, I had just replaced the lower element a few months ago after it burned out. The oven has worked fine since then up until now. I've scoured the internet, but I haven't been able to find many others with the same problem. Could it be that the sensor needs to be replaced? Thanks in advance ... Ads By Google Related Models
