Oven temp
Model Number: RGB745BEA2WH Brand: Hotpoint Age: More than 10 years
The oven is taking 45-60 minutes to pre-heat.
The Pressure Regulator p/n AP2022760 is supplying proper flow for burners (4) and the Broiler to operate simultaneously OK. Broiler was also checked as a "stand-alone". Oven Igniter p/n AP2014008 is coming "ON" and is opening Oven Safety Valve (Dual type) p/n AP2022753 for main oven burner operation. However, after removing and viewing the burner itself, only a slight uniformed flame is along the entire length. The flame is VERY low. Is there any measurements or checks to confirm it is the Oven Safety Valve? At $160, I would like to be positive that this is indeed the problem....... even though everything is pointing to it. Chris,
Very likely the Bake igniter is bad (weak) even if it's still glows. Measure the current drawn by the igniter. If it's 2.5 amps or less, replace the igniter. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for General Electric RGB745BEA2WH Gas range | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.
