To replace the top on your range:

Of course, the first thing to do is remove power to the unit.

It's easier to remove the unit from the cabinet, or at least slide it out 6 to 12 inches.

You need a putty knife to insert into the seam between the cooktop and the top of the control panel 2 or 3 inches from each end and press in on the spring clip and lift up on the cooktop.

There are 2 versions of this cooktop
#1) Has 2 metal clips on the back edge of the top, that slip into slots on the back panel of the stove cabinet.

#2) Has no clips but has a "lip" that slips over flange across the back of the cabinet flange.

Once you have the top up, you need to disconnect the harnesses at the multi plug near the rear of the cabinet burner box.

Your best bet then is to move the top to a table,or counter, and remove the burners and other components from the old top and install into the new top.

Reverse procedure to reinstall the top.
