Our Jen-air counter top stove has been acting up the last few weeks. The igniters start working and you have to un plug it to stop them. It used to be intermittant but now it is constant. I don't know much about this type of thing but I took it apart and found that the ingiter module has one of the 4 recesses that the wires plug into full of what looks like grease. Are these built like automotive coils and can that be a symtom of a defective igniter. If not, where should I look next.
Thanks for any advise you might have.

Without a model number I'd have to say that the part you're seeing is the spark module and that's probably your porblem.
